Adi Sulyadi, Happy and Proud to Complete the Anaplan Certified Solution Architect Certification

As a technical consultant of ED-SEN Consulting, Adi is very happy and proud to have obtained the solution architect certification on the Anaplan platform this year. For him, the certification helps support the work skills of the Anaplan project currently underway. 
 
"Through this certification, I learned a lot about the project model from the beginning. Then I read the user stories one by one according to the wishes of each user. It also explained the daily situation of the active project." Adi said. 
 
To enter the solution architect certification stage, Adi must pass several stages. First, take AnaplanExtension. Next, Adi joined Anaplan Way with Mr. Fuvaz from Anaplan. After Anaplan Way, Adi also got the old model certification, namely Anaplan 101 and 299 certification. 
 
"Now, the certification has been updated to Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3." Adi said. 
In addition, to enter the solution architect certification stage, Adi must complete the level 1 modelbuilder, level 2 model builder, and level 3 model builder. 
 
For Solution Architect, the evaluation starts from the Level 3 building model that has been built. "The evaluation is carried out from Anaplan, and they will review the schematic model, logic, and flow process." Said Adi. 
 
Adi explained that for Level 1 to Level 3, you can register in Anaplan learning. He can get certification for free because ED-SEN Consulting is a Anaplan’s Partner. 
 
According to Adi, there is an additional signature file for this solution architect certification. He submitted a signed document containing a list of completed projects, a list of implemented certifications from level 1 to level 3. The minimum period for joining Anaplan must be 2 years. "Adi said. 
 
"I sent the signature file, and they reviewed the file. All of these are requirements for us to be certified as a solution architect," Adi said. 
 
When he got this certificate, Adi said there is an additional sign document. Starting from building the design model, what to prepare, to what we must build when we run the project for the first time. 
 
As for the difficulty from level 1 to level 2 according to Adi, it is in terms of logic and formulas. For level 3, you need to know more on user stories. Adi gave an example of what kind of user wants his Anaplan development to look like, which is a challenge for those of us who don’t know the users stories it. "So we must know what users want, and then implement it into our project." Adi said. 
 
Adi said that overall, Anaplan became the first business platform to learn when entering the workplace. He can also learn financial planning, sales, marketing, report management, etc. 
 
From the customer's point of view, Adi admits that his customers are satisfied and helpful in implementing Anaplan in their company. "For example, for the closing process, manual reporting may take 3 to 4 weeks, but the Anaplan closing process may take 2 to 3 days. Therefore, using Anaplan makes them easier to closing." Adi said. 
 
Adi is now working on a number of Anaplan projects. Adi is also the CO-PM, entrusted with assisting project managers with project timesheets and day-to-day client meetings. 
 
Adi explained that he was working on Anaplan Connect Implementation for one of his clients, which he described as a new challenge for him. Adi integrates client data into the Anaplan model in this Anaplan Connect Implementation, which is something new to learn. Adi stated that he was happy to see the project has gone live. 
 
Adi hopes that with this Solution Architect certification in the future he can build his house design for Anaplan's new project at ED-SEN Consulting and can be implemented by him and the other model builder team. 
 
According to Adi, the goal of all Anaplan Technical Consultants at ED-SEN Consulting is to develop a house design for Anaplan so that the Technical team may not only build but also make house designs for the Anaplan project that would be completed. 
 
Adi's goal for the future is to be able to take the Anaplanner Master Certification, which is Anaplan's highest level of certification. To be eligible for the Anaplanner Master certification, you must have spent at least three years in the organization working on an Anaplan project. 
 
“I've been with ED-SEN Consulting for two years. So I'm still unable to participate in the AnaplannerMaster Certification. I studied the materials to be able to take the Anaplanner Master Certification while I waited.” Adi stated. 
 
"In Solution Architect we focus on developing the building model that we will build, both from a technical side and from a schematic model." Said Adi. 
 
Adi hopes that the knowledge he will obtain from this certification will be beneficial to him and others. He also wants to use what he's learned at ED-SEN Consulting on Anaplan's next project. "This certification also serves as a starting point for my preparation for the Master Anaplanner exam next year." Adi stated.

Getting awards and achievements for the best marketer category is a joy for Meli Yunita, Marketing Officer at ED-SEN Consulting. For her this is a surprise in 2021 that makes Meli even more motivated to make an even better contribution to the company. 

"This award makes me want to work even better in the future, I want to make a bigger contribution to the company," said Meli. 

Meli is an alumnus of Indonesia literature at Yogyakarta State University. Joined the Marketing Division of Edsen Consulting in 2018. 

Meli said that last year was a tough challenge at work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Usually before the pandemic, the Marketing Department held an offline event by inviting clients to introduce Edsen Consulting services. 

During the pandemic, little has changed in the way marketing works. We have become accustomed to making online events such as webinars and inviting customers to introduce what services ED-SEN Consulting. 

“Initially, we were still adjusting to the work pattern from offline to online. During the Pandemic, we in marketing turned to webinars. I started learning how to use Zoom, Teams, and other online platforms. said Meli. 

For the level of difficulty, Meli said, to offer Edsen Consulting services to customers, the marketing team usually does follow-up from the database obtained from webinars. "One by one, we usually follow up data from webinars so that they can become leads and are followed up by the sales team," said Meli. 

Early joining Edsen Consulting Meli admitted that she made a lot of adjustments and learned about the company's business. I read a lot of company profiles and studied how Edsen Consulting runs its business. "Besides studying company profiles, I also study companies that are the business targets of Edsen Consulting," said Meli. 

Meli said that before entering the world of marketing, she had experience as a salesperson at a bank. Then Meli also had experience as a Customer Service before finally becoming a marketing as it is now. 

Being a Marketing at Edsen Consulting was the first experience for Meli. She previously used to offer services with a B2C (Business to Consumer) business model. But at Edsen Consulting, Meli gets a new challenge because Edsen Consulting offers business services with a B2B business model. (Business to Business). 

“If it's a B2C business model I can immediately get an answer whether they are willing to buy our products. For the B2B business model, we usually can't immediately get a decision whether the client will buy or use the services of Edsen Consulting." Meli said.

It is hoped that in the future, Meli plans to participate in training that can support her daily work. She admitted that she wanted to take part in digital marketing and event management seminars or training. 

“I want to improve my skills and abilities in the marketing department so that I can support my work. I hope that every year there should be new skills and abilities that I can get,” said Meli.

Starting from an internship student until finally becoming part of the ED-SEN Consulting project team, it was a joy for Bil Biry Mohammad. The most impressive experience was when Bill worked on a project while completing his thesis at the Bina Nusantara University campus majoring in Information Systems. 

Bil is part of the project team that has been working on the Power BI project at ED-SEN Consulting. When he first entered Edsen Consulting, Bil was a student who did an internship at Edsen Consulting. The first project that Bil worked on was working on a planning and budgeting platform for a multi-finance company in Indonesia. 

Bil said, an impressive experience was when working on a project while working on a thesis. "At that time, I gained valuable experience because during the day I worked on projects for clients and at night I returned to campus for thesis guidance," said Bil. 

This year Bil became one of the recipients of the Award and Achievement for the Best Consultant in Business Analytic category. This award is the second award for Bil, because in the previous year he was also one of the Top Achievers thanks to his contribution to Edsen Consulting. 

There is more motivation for Bil to make even more contributions this year. For him, getting an award from the company was a pride and sparked his enthusiasm to work even better. 

"I am very happy to be able to get an award and achievement from ED-SEN Consulting this year," said Bil. 

Bil said that this year he is working on a Business Intelligence project at a manufacturing company in Indonesia. He admitted that this project was his first experience working on Business Intelligence because previously at ED-SEN Consulting Bil worked on Anaplan and Oracle NetSuite projects. 

For the difficulty level of the project being worked on, Bill admits that each project has a different difficulty level. According to Bil, the Oracle NetSuite team must know the business process and ERP concept well because Oracle NetSuite is used for daily transactions in the company. Meanwhile for Anaplan, Bil said the team had to master good accounting and logic. 

According to Bil, the difficulty level of Power BI is in the process of preparing data for Power BI. "The challenge in working on this project is because Power BI is full scripting," said Bil. 

For the team working on the project, Bil said, the team working on the project must be solid and must know their respective responsibilities so that the project that is carried out can run well. 

Bil added, each team member must also have the initiative to ask questions if they have difficulty working on the project. To that end, Bil also said the importance of good communication between fellow team members to avoid disputes within the team. 

Bil, who has joined ED-SEN Consulting since 2016, said that during a pandemic like this it becomes a challenge that makes the workflow a little different. Even though during the pandemic Bil worked at home, with a solid project team it did not hamper the project. "When we have a meeting at the office with our clients, we focus on discussing the extent of the progress of the project. However, lack of focus is the main concern when the meeting done by online.” said Bil. 

Bil has hopes in the future to further increase his contribution to the company by participating in training such as Project Management, Data Warehouse, Machine Learning, Big Data. “This year, I plan to have project management training so that in the future I am able to handle a project from the start until the project is finished. "Said Bil.

Vicky Sanjaya is a Consultant Manager who is responsible for several projects in the company daily. 

The human resource side is a concern for Vicky Sanjaya to be even better in the future. Because according to him, as a consulting firm, the biggest asset is in terms of human resources. 

Why is the human resource side considered so important is because Vicky Sanjaya sees business competition in the future as very competitive. Vicky gave an example, for ERP, in 2020, there was more competition. 

For this reason, he hopes that the resource side has more knowledge about various platforms and is not limited to the projects that are currently being worked on. "I hope our resources will not only have experience and insight about the project being undertaken but as a consultant the insight should be broader," said Vicky Sanjaya. 

Second, in terms of speed, he hopes that the resources at ED-SEN must be even more agile and must be ready to work on not only one project but at least be able to handle two projects so that the efficiency of resources is more optimal. 

Vicky said that people who are used to working on more than one project will be accustomed to multi-tasking work and have good time management. Especially in a pandemic era like today, where we can work from home, of course we can be more mobile with more flexible time.

James Karwita, one of the award recipients and the achievement for the Award for Best Consultant in Business Performance category, has actually liked IT since elementary school. 
 
At that time James had the opportunity to take a computer class from the government. “When I was in grade 6 of Elementary School, I had the opportunity to take computer classes. There I began to learn about how to repair computers such as reinstalling, cleaning the hard drive, "said James. 
 
James interest continued when he was in high school. At that time, he started his hobby of installing anti-virus on his computer. James also continued to college by majoring in Information Systems at Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta. 
 
When carrying out an internship program from campus, James admitted to submitting CVs to all companies in the hope of being accepted by one of these companies. "Of all the CVs that were sent, it turned out that ED-SEN Consulting's HRD was the first to call me for an interview, so I have chosen ED-SEN Consulting as the place for internships," said James. 
 
During his internship, James began working on a project at ED-SEN Consulting. He said the first project he was working on was a planning budgeting platform at a multi-finance company in Indonesia. James admitted that he was happy to be able to work on his first project because it was an opportunity for him to explore his abilities. “My first project could explore a lot of things, but the downside was that there was no supervision, so I made a mistake. But so that I can learn from this mistake. "Said James. 
 
James's acquaintance with Anaplan occurred when James helped the Anaplan team work on the Anaplan project in a brand communications service provider. When I saw Anaplan, I didn't understand it at all because it was different from the platform I had worked on before. 
 
In the next project, James worked on another Anaplan project at a leading telecommunication company in Indonesia. While working on this project, James began to understand Anaplan thanks to direct guidance from the Anaplan team. 
 
The Anaplan project at a multi-finance company in Indonesia was the first project for James to work on Anaplan with the Project team. James said working on the Anaplan project at the company started from scratch. "In the past, the Anaplan team designed the telecommunication company, but in this project, we made our own designs." Said James. He added that the Anaplan project in a multi-finance company was Anaplan's first project undertaken by the ED-SEN Consulting team. 
 
James admitted that the challenge of working on the Anaplan project at the beginning was rather difficult because there was no supervision yet to monitor the project work. However, according to James, there is a positive side, namely, he has received a lot of knowledge from clients and from the Anaplan team. "From the Anaplan team, I learned how they run projects," said James. 
 
According to James, the Project Manager (PM) was very helpful in making the Anaplan project tidy. He also learned a lot from the PM which made the work more organized in terms of the work process and the timeline. 
 
For the difficulty level, working on this Anaplan project is almost non-existent. It's just that, for now, James admits that it is difficult to manage several of Anaplan's ongoing projects. James and his team are currently working on 4 Anaplan projects in several major companies in Indonesia. 
 
For the Work team, James felt that the team he currently had was very solid in working on these 4 projects. If there are problems in the team, they are usually discussed together while looking for solutions to problems faced in the project. 
 
From the client side, back then we had no experience when it was rather difficult to manage clients. So, if the client asks for a revision, the project team always works on it. But now, we can get better at managing clients. We also see the capacity of the team to what extent we can handle the wishes of the client in the project. 
 
Talking about the timeline, previously the project timeline was always packed with time. However, currently there is a PM involved to calculate how long the timeline will be. "Now, the timeline is quite long," said James.

During the Pandemic, James also admitted that he had no influence when he had to do Work from Home because for him since 2018, he has been working on projects at home. James said that when I worked on a project at a manufacturing company, I worked on it from home and had no problems with the Anaplan team and clients. "Once a week we have a meeting to report on how the project is progressing," said James. 
 
James said, when he had to Work from Office, usually James would use the opportunity to coordinate with clients. so, if there are problems, you can discuss it on the spot. "With the team, usually when the project schedule is tight, we will meet in Depok because it will be faster in processing. However, if the schedule is not busy, we can do it from home,” said James. 
 
In the future, James hopes to increase the number of learning platforms other than Anaplan. "In the future, I plan to learn about platforms other than Anaplan so that my knowledge will be broader about other platforms," said James.

Raden Panji Mahardika, Best Young Achiever Award

Raden Panji Mahardika or familiarly called Panji is one of the 9 recipients of the ED-SEN Consulting Award and Achievement. Panji received an Award in the Best Young Achiever category for his achievements in 2020.

Panji did not expect to get this award, because he felt that there were many other project teams who gave more contribution than me. But Panji also admitted that he was happy because the company had appreciated what he had been doing so far.

"This award makes me more motivated to do better on the projects I work on. I want to make an even bigger contribution to ED-SEN Consulting. "

Panji said that when he first got into the project, he adjusted more to accounting systems such as financial reports. He admitted that he learned a lot with his teammates in the Iqbal and Febra projects.

However, as time went on, Panji began to understand the accounting system. "At first I didn't really understand what balance sheet, profit and loss are, for that I asked Mas Iqbal a lot about these terms so that I would have a first picture before discussing them with clients," said Panji.

When he first worked on the Anaplan project at one of the decacorn startup companies in Indonesia, initially Panji admitted that he was quite difficult. But thanks to a solid project team and always providing solutions when he was having difficulties, finally Panji was able to work on this Anaplan project with the team. "From the client side, luckily it's also cooperative, so it's better to do it," said Panji.

For teamwork, Panji feels that the project he is working on is easier to do with a team of 3 people. “From an accounting perspective, I don't understand anything, usually Mas Iqbal is a good friend for discussions to find solutions. The three of us can complement each other, "said Panji.

Adjustment of work during the Covid-19 Pandemic from Work From Office to Work From Home was not an obstacle for Panji in working on the Anaplan project at the company. Every day, Panji and his team coordinate with the team from the company to report on the progress of the project.

Apart from being a startup company, Decacorn in Indonesia, currently Panji is also part of the project team that implements Anaplan in a financial service and automotive rental company. Panji admitted that even though he was not involved in this project from the start, he had to quickly adapt to other teams. The presence of Pak Firman as Project Manager (PM) helped Panji a lot in working on this project.

When he first entered ED-SEN Consulting, Panji said that he had not yet imagined what kind of project he would work on. After several weeks of joining, Panji began to learn about Anaplan. For one month he studied until he took Anaplan certification.

After I finished studying and took Anaplan certification, I began to be trusted to work on the Anaplan project at one of the decacorn startup companies in Indonesia. "I am happy to be trusted by the company to work on the project, although I have no idea what the project will be like," said Panji.

Panji hopes that in the future he wants to further deepen Anaplan to the level of Master Anaplaner. I want to take certification up to Anaplaner Masters level. "In Anaplan there are several levels, such as the Bulider Model level, Solution Architect, up to the highest level, namely Master Anaplaner. So I hope to get to that level, "said Panji. 

To get to that level, Panji has been exploring Anaplan a lot. In addition, Panji also often asks people who are more knowledgeable about Anaplan. 

Panji said that the beginning of his liking for technology began when he was in junior high school. At that time, Panji was very interested in cellphone technology. His interest in technology became stronger when Panji was in college. Panji took the Informatics Management major for a Diploma then continued with the Information Systems major to take his bachelor's degree. 

ED-SEN Consulting became the first company for Panji. Becoming a consultant at ED-SEN Consulting was her first work experience. When he first entered ED-SEN Consulting, Panji felt it was not too difficult to make adjustments. "Because I have an IT background when I was on campus, so when I started the work of designing it wasn't too difficult and everything I got in college could be applied in the company."

Panji also has hopes that in the future ED-SEN Consulting will be better known as a Consultant partnering with Anaplan. So if there is a company that is looking for Anaplan Partner in Indonesia, the name ED-SEN Consulting will be the consultant chosen as the consultant that implements Anaplan in the company.
